Rockin' Out with Mr. Steve

"Are you ready to rock, rock, rock?  Are you ready to roll?"

We listen to a lot of different kids music albums in our house.  There always seems to be music on and usually at least one person humming along or dancing around in the kitchen.  The CD that really stuck with my kids this winter has been Orangutan Van by SteveSongs, the new release from Mr. Steve from PBS Kids.  It's catchy, it's upbeat, the songs will stick in your head (whether you like it or not).  Fortunately for me, I like Mr. Steve and find his lyrics funny and creative, even if it is a little embarrassing to find myself humming it - alone - in the checkout line at Target.

We especially love how the CD opens with the song "Recess Rocks" with a school alarm bell sounding off and the beats kicking in.  It's peppy, poppy, and full of easy lyrics for your kids to sing along to.  On those two up of coffee mornings, it helps me get my kids ready for preschool and kindergarten on time.  Orangutan Van gives my kids that extra spunk in their step to get our mornings started off right.

If you are looking for some new jams for your kids, this is an album worth checking out!  The run time for the CD is 51 minutes, targeted for ages 2-10, and has a suggested retail of $13.98.
